State of the Region 2024 has been cancelled

As a region, we want to realise important solutions for a future-proof metropolis. Also, the versatility of the network has been increasing and diversifying. This calls for renewing our approach so that a great networking moment contributes optimally to the steps we want to take together. This way, we can initiate the necessary movement with many people and organisations. In which all participants can bring as well as take away sufficient value.

Future of the region

We have enjoyed organising State of the Region six times, together with the Metropoolregio Amsterdam, City of Amsterdam, amsterdam&partners and ROM InWest. Our visitors highly rated the event. Here we talked together about the future of our region. And what it would take from the network to get there.

We proudly presented our initiatives and their impact. Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema held her State of the Region address. We also presented the Economic Outlook and shared the stage with many inspiring speakers at beautiful locations in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Consequently, State of the Region became a household name in the region.

Look differently, act differently

The movement Look differently, act differently, launched during State of the Region 2023, will continue unabated. We’ll keep on tackling complex problems by looking and acting differently. With the greatest possible diversity of players, we put issues in a broader perspective. Building on the strength of our existing networks.

Together we look for innovative solutions and new forms of cooperation. Spending enough time and attention and offering plenty of room for experimentation. We’ll strengthen synergies through close cooperation with our Amsterdam Smart City programme. This provides important added value to the coalitions on themes in our new course.
