Zeno AI, Periscope and Reset to regional preliminaries Zorginnovatieprijs 2023

Three nominees were selected from all entries. These innovative scale-ups from the province of North Holland will compete on Feb. 14 in the regional preliminary round of the Care Innovation Prize 2023:

• 
  Zeno AI
  , an innovation from WSK Medical. Zeno AI’s technology helps ENT doctors detect throat cancer in real-time and at an early stage in patients. This is done during an endoscopy where artificial intelligence provides an instant analysis. A great example of how humans and technology can work together.

  Periscope
  , a product of HealthPlus.ai. PERioperative Surgical infeCtiOn PrEdiction, PERISCOPE is an AI system that, by reusing existing hospital data, can accurately predict whether a patient will develop an infection after surgery. By doing so, we ensure that healthcare providers can more proactively care for their patients.

  Reset
  , a product of Reset Technologies. The Reset pod is a “living lab” with two goals: learning which stress reduction method works best for different individuals and tracking visitors’ reaction to the stress reduction experiences and then giving them real-time “factual” feedback.

These three entrepreneurs will pitch their innovation to the expert jury and the public at a Zorg2025 meeting on February 14. Following this, Douwe Jippes will take us into the world of digital health from his perspective as an entrepreneur and investor.

Cliff Boss, founder of CareXS – the 2022 regional winner – shares what the first award has brought over the past year. Finally, the denouement of the preliminary round brings the election of the regional winner. The North Holland regional winner will receive 1 year of free membership in the Network Council of the Amsterdam Economic Board and two tickets to the Innovation For Health event on April 6 in Rotterdam.

The event is part of the Slimme Zorg Estafette, which focuses for four weeks on smart care and innovation. Each week, smart care and innovation take center stage in one region. Then the baton is passed on to the next region.

Zorginnovatieprijs (Healthcare Innovation Award)

The National Healthcare Innovation Award (Zorginnovatieprijs 2023) is an award for the most innovative company in the scale-up phase in the field of health and wellness. Regional preliminaries take place throughout the Netherlands. Each region will select one nominee to advance to the finals on March 30 during the Health Valley Event. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to accelerate their innovation that has already been worked out, tested and launched.

The regional preliminary round of the National Care Innovation Award is co-sponsored by Zorg2025 partners and is part of the Smart Care Relay.
