Focus: Working together on impact
The major change challenges facing the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area require a different way of looking at impact – and acting on it together. This not only concerns economic and sustainability impact, but also social impact and from a wider perspective: the impact on ecosystems and transitions. In this context, Antonio Carretero de Jong is working on strengthening the strategic cooperation between parties in the network of the Amsterdam Economic Board. Setting the agenda on new, future-oriented topics contributes to the smart, green, healthy future of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
Antonio studied Economics at Erasmus University, worked as a consultant at Bureau Bartels and has held various strategy positions within the Municipality of Amsterdam.
“When the Amsterdam Economic Board was founded in 2010, the aim was to strengthen our economic competitiveness. We have since developed into a driver, connector and agenda-setter on themes that contribute to increasing the general prosperity and well-being in the region. The Amsterdam Economic Board thus fulfills a unique and indispensable role in the regional ecosystem. I am proud to have co-directed this process and look forward to expanding it further in an impact-driven manner in the coming years.”
