Privacy Statement

The Amsterdam Economic Board works together with companies, knowledge institutions and governments on a green, smart and healthy future for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.

For our services, such as on this website, we depend on the collection of some personal data. We are always keen to protect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

General data

The Amsterdam Economic Board keeps general data of all visitors to the website via Google Analytics and Matomo, such as about the most requested pages of the website or our services. The purpose of this is to optimise our website – and thus our services. Your identity as a visitor is not important to us for these numerical data and totals. We do not store this data for longer than necessary, for a maximum of two years.

Personal information

By signing up for an event or the Amsterdam Economic Board’s newsletter (in Dutch), you give permission to register your data in a database. We do this together with third parties: Zoho CRM, MailChimp and Eventbrite. Your data will be used for the normal business purposes of the Amsterdam Economic Board. We will keep you informed about our activities, so that you can join our initiatives and programmes. We use all requested data to be able to send you targeted information. Our e-mails are provided with an opt-out in accordance with the Telecommunications Act. With this link you can unsubscribe from messages by e-mail. The Amsterdam Economic Board does not sell your personal information to third parties.

Jobs and applications

When you respond to a vacancy, we only use your personal data to contact you by telephone and e-mail. We do not store your data for longer than four weeks. If you give permission to keep your data for longer – for example because a suitable job may become available at a later date – we apply a retention period of a maximum of one year after the application process has ended.
