Daan Schut

Daan Schut is Chief Transition Officer (CTO) and a member of the Board at network company Alliander. He is working to shape and transform tomorrow’s green energy system.

Energy and the energy infrastructure are the foundation for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area‘s ambitions for housing, jobs and transport. Sustainability plays an important role in this. Together with the other members of our Board, Daan wants to work on the major societal issues surrounding the implementation of the energy transition.

The transition to a sustainable energy system is a deep system change that requires all to look differently, act differently. Alliander focuses on strengthening the electricity grid and making better use of the grid. And also enables other energy carriers, such as hydrogen and green gas.
