Margrethe Jonkman is a member of our Board. She is chairperson of the Executive Board at VU Amsterdam. For this reason, Margrethe was asked to join and make a difference with the Amsterdam Economic Board on the important issues that impact our region.
Diversity, sustainability and entrepreneurship are at the heart of VU’s strategy. As such, the university is an important partner for the Amsterdam Economic Board. VU contributes to the development of the region by investing in startups and entrepreneurship, researching sustainability and creating impact with new knowledge and research. Students also work with societal partners on real-world issues affecting society.
