Almere
Hein van der Loo is mayor of Almere municipality. He views digitalisation, energy transition and circular economy as changes that offer opportunities for Almere and Flevoland, in close connection with the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. To Hein, the Board is an independent platform that promotes “look differently, act differently” to address the region’s societal challenges.
Hein is a member of our Board and a member of the Agenda Committee. By looking and acting differently, he wants to work towards a ‘different’ role for regional governments.
“My plea is: work together. Entrepreneurs, educational institutions, governments. Go for it! Short lines of communication. Action. That’s what I would like to contribute to the Amsterdam Economic Board.”
