TOMAS Connect: Tech Talent speed-dating

The City of Amsterdam, our TOMAS initiative and Amsterdam-based tech academies join forces to organise a speed-dating hiring event for fast growing companies that are looking to hire diverse talents.

During this event companies will connect with 50 software & data engineers that have recently graduated or are about to graduate from one of the top academies of Bit academy, Codam, Le Wagon, SALT, or Techgrounds. All together these academies have (re)trained more than 2000 individuals who have entered the IT job market as junior professionals.

For the very first time academies unite to enhance the visibility and employability of their students & alumni. This creates a unique chance for companies to learn about the competitive advantages and unique propositions of each academy that could potentially become a regular source for their talent pipelines.

Impact

Collectively we aim to create greater opportunities and recognition for ambitious individuals working towards a career in tech, regardless of their ethnic, socioeconomic, or educational backgrounds. We believe that collaborations between non-traditional educational institutions and companies could not only deliver immediate results, but also close the talent and diversity gaps in the long-run.
