State of the Region is the networking day for decision makers and change agents at companies, knowledge institutions, governments, social and cultural organisations in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. This sixth edition will take place on Tuesday, July 11.

We will provide an inspiring programme on the Metropolis of Tomorrow and plenty of opportunity to catch up with other decision-makers and innovators. In addition to the main programme, we will organise several side events.

Between 16:30 and 17:30, we will offer an inspiring main programme led by Janine Abbring and Tex de Wit including:

Before and after the main programme, there will be ample time to meet.

From 14:30 onwards, we will organise the following side-events:

  • Economic Explorations MRA: VU professor Prof Henri de Groot discusses and analyses the choices we face based on the latest insights from the EVMRA 2023 (Municipality of Amsterdam)
  • State of the Youth: how do young people and young adults look at the choices to be made and what does it bring them? (Young on Board)
  • Additional programme for all MRA stakeholders: this is an invitation-only side-event (Amsterdam Metropolitan Area).
