As a social entrepreneur and co-founder of De Bildung Academie, Durk Gardenier has experienced the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area from many different organisations and perspectives. He derives great satisfaction from bringing the right people together, creating opportunities and converting this into (educational) programmess aimed at broad personal and social education. For example, by creating educational programmes where various students come together and work.
Durk would like to apply this experience within Young on Board. Making visible what is already going well, showing administrators real-world practice, so that theory and practice can work together. He believes it is important to keep it simple where possible. Supported by his abilities as a substantive and social liaison who quickly gets to the bottom of things.
