Amsterdam Smart City is now called Amsterdam InChange

On Thursday, September 12, the Amsterdam Smart City programme celebrated its 15th anniversary and the launch of its new name. It was a festive afternoon full of positive energy and enthusiasm! From now on, the open innovation platform is officially called Amsterdam InChange.

Where the platform once began by realising energy projects, it developed into a driver of digitalisation and an open innovation platform focused on social innovation, always with people at the center. Innovation and digitalisation remain important pillars, but the focus is now more on the collaborative approach to complex societal challenges, where everyone benefits and sustainability comes first.

InChange stands for dynamism and transformation through creative thinking. The platform no longer focuses solely on developing new ideas, but on realising meaningful change with broad impact on communities, businesses, individuals and society. With the name change, the platform emphasises collaboration as an essential value. By bringing together civil society organisations, businesses, knowledge institutions and governments, Amsterdam InChange aims to be a breeding ground for initiatives that will make the city and region future-proof.

In addition to the new name, Amsterdam InChange also has a new website, an updated logo and a brand video.
