Pilot accelerator for health innovation completed

In cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, the Board has appointed an Innovation Broker to assist health entrepreneurs in implementing and scaling innovations. The position was created to act as a bridge builder between scale-ups and central government and to accelerate health innovations.

Role of the Board

The Amsterdam Economic Board received a request from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport to provide support for a number of eHealth companies. The Board is to assist the companies with expertise and networks, identify obstacles to scaling and remove these obstacles where possible. The ecosystem will be strengthened as healthcare organisations are more actively involved with the development of health innovations, for example in the form of ‘field labs’.
