25 CEOs are committed to a Zero Waste Zuidas in 2030

During the annual Green Business Club Zuidas CEO breakfast, 25 CEOs signed for a Zero Waste Zuidas in 2030. The goal: a circular Zuidas where every residual product is the beginning of something new. Food, raw material, reusable material and ultimately energy.

With over 43,000 people employed, Zuidas is the largest business district in the Netherlands. Although exact figures are unknown, more than 4 million kilos of waste is produced on an annual basis, the majority of which is residual waste. With the signing of the agreement, companies commit to jointly contracting waste streams. This approach creates volume, so that waste can be processed as optimally and as high as possible. In 2020 the participants will start with paper, cardboard, plastic and organic waste.
