Amsterdam Economic Board
Focus: Accelerating, connecting and ensuring urgent issues are high on relevant agendas
The common thread in Nina Tellegen’s career is working towards a better world for everyone. At the Amsterdam Economic Board, together with her colleagues, Board members and the large network, she applies herself with great energy and enthusiasm to important issues at play in our region. Nina studied human geography at the University of Amsterdam and wrote her dissertation at the African Studies Center in Leiden on the development of small businesses in rural Malawi. She previously was director for Wemos and Stichting DOEN.
‘‘Only together can we find solutions to the major issues of our time. The energy, circular and digital transition all require broad coalitions of committed and enthusiastic people and organisations who understand that to make and keep the Amsterdam region future-proof, major changes in systems, behaviour and knowledge are needed. The Amsterdam Economic Board is where those parties meet and work together towards a smart, green and healthy Metropolis of Tomorrow.’’
