Maarten Otto has been the CEO of network company Alliander since 2020. Together with our other Board members, Maarten wants to work in the coming years on the major social issues surrounding the implementation of the energy transition; from sustainable mobility to digitalisation and the training of technical staff. Almost everything that needs to be done for the energy transition impacts the energy grids and simultaneously touches on the Board’s strategic agenda. To realise the ambitions of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, cooperation between government, business and knowledge institutions is desperately needed. The Amsterdam Economic Board provides the platform to bring perspectives together, combine each other’s creativity and brainpower, and take cooperation further.
As a Board member, Maarten Otto is involved in our Amsterdam Smart City programme. He also serves as a member of the Board’s Agenda Committee.
