Geert ten Dam is chairperson of the Executive Board at the University of Amsterdam. According to her, the Amsterdam Economic Board should combine the strengths of the various partners on a select number of major projects, with a focus on equity, green and health. Knowledge institutions contribute through investments in data science and artificial intelligence, research into health problems in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, and by monitoring impact and new knowledge in the field of sustainability.
“We need to use the data, knowledge and capacity of the various partners in the Board. To me, the Amsterdam Economic Board is the joint effort for a responsible and resilient Amsterdam metropolis.”
