The Loopbaanpaden Techniek en Bouw (Career pathways Engineering and Construction) have been completed and we look back on the past two years. This project was made possible by our House of Skills programme, Crossover and Instituut Gak.

We’ll discuss the chain cooperation needed to get more people enrolled into the Engineering and Construction sector. We’ve worked with five employers to improve on their skills-based approach. We’ll also talk about the skills-based initiatives we’ve monitored and will share interesting results and good practices.

Josje Damsma, director of CrossOver, will discuss the opportunities for the future. How can we increase enrollment in Engineering & Construction?

This event will be held in Dutch. Admission is free, registration is required.

More information

With our House of Skills programme, we are working on creating an agile education and labour market that support the energy- and digital transition. We are focused on creating more synergy, aligning with priorities in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area and aiming to achieve impact. In this way, House of Skills contributes to our theme of Meaningful work for everyone.

House of Skills, with its partners, is taking a leading role in increasing the enrollment of new workers in construction and engineering. Through a skills-focused approach, aimed at lifelong development. Reskilling and upskilling helps employers and employees have the right skills now and in the future.

We apply our knowledge to reducing labour shortages in socially relevant sectors. As well as making the labour market more inclusive and identifying systemic breakthroughs in education and labour markets and how we can contribute to them.
