About the Expertise Center Applied Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science are penetrating all capillaries of society. They influence the applications of all sectors and professions – to a greater or lesser extent – for which the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) trains. The AUAS therefore set up the Applied AI expertise center on 1 January 2020. Now a Center of Expertise in the making. With this, the university of applied sciences invests in the development of research and education of applied AI in all domains and fields of study. Each faculty has a lab where research is conducted on the interface between AI and an application area.
The activities and results of the labs feed education and teaching. Study programs and students are involved in the labs, for example through (graduation) assignments, minors and courses in the curriculum. From the labs, organizations come into contact with AI talent at both bachelor and master level.
