Amsterdam Life Sciences Café: A start-up’s view on oncology and the immune system

  • Health
  • During our last Life Sciences Café, we heard an investor’s take on what makes a fertile biotech ecosystem.  This session will follow up with a start-up’s impression. As the Amsterdam area is a powerhouse in oncological research and treatment, we are happy to announce two fascinating presentations:

    • Ronald Plasterk (Frame Therapeutics) will share Frame Therapeutics’ goals and ambitions and summarize how they work towards delivering on their promise: “Personalized anticancer vaccines, available off-the-shelf, anywhere.”
    • Maarten Ligtenberg (Immagene, the most recent spin-off of NKI) will share how Immagene works on finding targets for the immune system to help it fight cancer cells.

As always, we will start with a brief update on Life Sciences in the Region and we will make sure there is ample time for discussion – right after the presentation and during drinks.

And in case you are interested in the more scientific reasoning behind the start-ups, we have some suggested readings about:

Please note: Entrance is free, but registration is required.
